About us

We live close to a small village called Giethoorn. It’s a beautiful and lovely place, and very popular for people to spend their vacations. The town is full of old typical houses and you can only get around on foot or you must take a boat. It is often referred to as ‘little Venice’.

We live on a farm, with a lot of space for our tatradogs. We also have two cats and a little pony and two West highland terriers that live with us and our Podhalers.

In ‘87 I met my first tatradog; a very big and beautiful male and I instantly fell in love with this wonderful breed. I started to look for information about these dogs and contacted different breeders. My first male dog was Yjoury.

Our first bitch that we used for breeding purposes, was called Czujna; a lovely bitch. She came from a litter of 17 podhalers puppies. They were all alive and healthy and the mother fed all these pups herself. This was a strong and healthy litter. Also our Czujna was a very strong and well bred bitch. Unfortunately she died when she was almost 8 years old; she had a tumor in her brain.

Over the years we have bought several bitches from different breeding lines and started our own blood line. And I still praise the day I met this wonderful dogs. We try to breed healthy, characteristic and typical podhalers to our best capacity, with good behaviour without losing their natural instincts.

We like to take our dogs to shows. Many dogs from our litters have been successful in shows and have won one or more titles. Over the years, we have exported different puppies to countries like Poland, America, Denmark, Germany and France and imported several puppies from, for instance, Poland. Our breeding male Ukasz was imported from France.

We hope that our bred dogs help to provide different genes for the breed. We have a lot of contact with breeders from different countries. We really think its very important to work together, because together we can create different blood lines and keep our breed healthy for the future.

We hope you will enjoy our website. We will try to keep our site up to date as well as we can. If you would like any information about the tatras from our kennels, please contact us. We are willing to help whenever we can.

Thank you all for visiting our website .

Greetings Natasza and Roelof and our white lovely friends; the podhalaner.
